Back in UK

Back in the UK. Caught up with Duncan and Bart and headed up to the peak district for the day, and it didn't rain. First day bouldering on grit!

Font

After a couple of days in nice, headed north to grenoble to check on Michael Schumacher and see about some skiing however weather didn't play ball and they don't rent ski clothes in France. So therefore it was off to Fontainebleau.

Arco

Spent a couple of days in arco, outdoor gear shop capital of Italy before heading to finale figure. Unfortunately rain stopped play at both destinations and decided to head to nice via Monaco.

Venice

A quick couple of days driving across Greece to arrive in Venice.

Back on the road

Heading back north through Turkey. Stopping at pamukkale and then Gallipoli.

Olimpos

Back from Istanbul, had a break from geyikbayiri went down the coast to Olympos. Saw the chaemera flames, stayed in the treehouses and also camped out on the beach. Climbing was good also, tried some brand new routes.  

Istanbul

Grabbed a cheap flight to Istanbul from antalya to spend Xmas with the kin. Ate lots of kebab, Turkish delight and drank a lot tea. Were accosted by rug sellers and fake cops. And also experienced the start of a riot outside the kebab place we were eating at!

Geyikbayiri

Have parked the van in the josito campground for rest of December and jan.

Kos

After 5 weeks was time to move on, managed to escape Kalymnos before a big storm set in but got trapped on Kos instead.  After a couple of days managed to get in a ferry to Bodrum and after night drove to antalya.

Kalymnos

Arrived on Kalymnos and set up camp for 5 weeks at evagelia's studios, Ours closest on the end

Athens

Checked out the sights of Athens. Visited the acropolis and it's museum. Stayed in Piraeus so was easy to get a boat overnight to Kalymnos.

Elefesina then athens

Spent a couple of nights here before heading to Athens, replaced a fuel line on the far-reaching thanks toyota  :-)

Leonidio

Drove out to the east coast of the Peloponnesian peninsula to see leonidio - soon to be the New Kalymnos according to some locals. Hard fantastic meal at local souvlaki joint while watching olympiakos play. Then headed towards Athens.
